These brilliant, standout earrings are made with the utmost care. The antler used for this pair is very near ivory in color. To offset the bright tips, I chose striking fire opal Swarovski crystals.
After making the tips and choosing the crystals, I carefully wrapped them in pure copper wire, formed jump rings and graceful ear hooks. To harden the hooks and jump rings, they have been carefully hammered.
These would make an exceptional gift for cowgirls, the lady hunter, or anyone who appreciates something a bit more special.
I do not artificially patina copper that I am using with antler, as I do not want to alter the antler.
*Raw copper can be suitable for some but not all people that have sensitivity to metals. Personally, I am very sensitive to metals but can wear copper with no issues. Each person reacts differently though.
**Most of the antler that we work with is sourced from others that no longer wish to keep what they have. While we do find some in the fields, it is not often. Regardless of where we source our antler from, our main goal is to ensure that this precious resource is not wasted away in a landfill.
