This is an eye-catching hair fork, perfect for making buns and other hair styles stand out. The wire used for this hair piece is pure 99% copper and will patina over time. The beads are blue glass, cat eye beads that appear as if the shades of blue more along the bead when it is turned. The base wire has been hand hammered to not only harden the metal but also add an extra touch of interest. The total length of this is about 4 1/4". This allows just enough for thinner hair without too much over hang of the arms.
While the overall design is my own creation, I prefer to allow some of the creative look and finish to the future owner of this fork. Considering everyone has their own tastes, I do not artificially patina the copper. This gives the choice to maintain the copper shine or allow the piece to patina. I also have not added a curve to the arms. This will give you the opportunity to choose which side you prefer to face outwards. While I did try to ensure both sides are equally appealing to the eye, you may like one side more than the other. If you'd like to have the arms curved to fit the contour of your head, you can gently form them or I can form them before sending it to you.
If you'd like to form them yourself, please apply very gently pressure while slowly sliding your thumb along the arm. You will want to take your time and make several passes to ensure you do not over shape it.
